Kid Kart (Briggs)
The Kid Kart, one step on.
The Briggs Kid Kart class is a young-driver entry point that runs a four-stroke engine package. Like the Comer Kid Kart, it is about learning the craft, not chasing speed.
Drivers ages 5 to 8. It carries a slightly higher minimum weight than the Comer class, and it gives the youngest racers a four-stroke route into the sport.
This class runs a Briggs four-stroke engine package built for Kid Kart use: gentle, reliable, and forgiving, exactly what a first engine should be.
Racing is supervised and measured, the same as any Kid Kart class. The point at this stage is not the trophy. It is teaching a young driver to be smooth, look ahead, and respect the flags.
See every class side by side, and find the one that fits a driver by age and weight, in the Class Explorer.
What is the difference between the Comer and Briggs Kid Kart classes?
Both are entry-level classes for very young drivers. They run different engine packages, a Comer two-stroke and a Briggs four-stroke, and the Briggs class allows a slightly older age range, 5 to 8, with a higher minimum weight.
What class comes after Kid Karts?
From Kid Karts, drivers move up into the Micro and 206 Cadet classes as they grow into the next age bracket and are ready for more speed.
