Senior 206 Medium
Adult LO206, medium weight.
Senior 206 Medium is adult four-stroke racing at its most accessible: the sealed LO206 engine, a sensible weight class, and some of the deepest, closest fields in karting.
Adult drivers 15 and up at a medium combined weight. It is the heart of grassroots adult karting and a class a racer can stay in for a lifetime.
Senior 206 Medium runs the sealed Briggs LO206 four-stroke. Affordable, reliable, and identical from kart to kart, so the result is decided by the driver, not the budget.
LO206 senior racing is famous for huge, close grids. With every engine the same, races come down to racecraft and consistency, which makes for genuinely satisfying, skill-based competition.
See every class side by side, and find the one that fits a driver by age and weight, in the Class Explorer.
What is the difference between Senior 206 Medium and Heavy?
Both are adult LO206 classes running the same sealed four-stroke engine. They are split by minimum combined weight: Medium carries a lower weight minimum than Heavy, so drivers race others with a similar package.
Why is the Senior 206 class so popular?
The LO206 is cheap, reliable, and sealed, so no one can buy speed. That produces large, close, skill-based fields, which is exactly what most adult club racers want.
